Kinder Konzert
Date: Tuesday, March 23rd
Time: 11:05am
Location: Orchestra Hall, Minneapolis MN
Cost: $5 a person
Description: WAMSO has invited us to a Kinder Konzert at Orchestra
Hall in downtown Minneapolis. Preschoolers, ages 4 and 5, will be seated
onstage with the musicians from the internationally-acclaimed Minnesota
Orchestra. The musicians will demonstrate their instruments and play a
concert created especially for children. This year's program will feature
Jack and the Beanstalk by composer Janika Vandervelde. Children
will also participate in a Sound Factory, a guided workshop that offers
children a chance to make sounds on real orchestral instruments. Sound
Factory activities make up half of the Kinder Konzert program. Everyone is
welcome to attend as long as your child is 4 by the concert date. The age
requirement is a WAMSO rule and we would like to adhere to it. Therefore, we
reserve tickets every year so if your child is not old enough to attend this
year, he or she will have another opportunity next year. Valley Preschool
classes will not be held this day.

Hugo Animal Farm
Date: Friday, May 7th for all classes
Time: 10:00am to 12:00pm
Location: Hugo, MN
Cost: $7.00 per person
We have added our third
field trip for the year. We will be visiting the Hugo Animal Farm this
spring, which is a real, working farm. Most of their baby animals are born
in April so we have been promised to see lots of little ones and even get to
hold some puppies and kittens. There will be a barn tour and a hay ride and
will last about 2 hours. All parents, siblings, families, etc are invited.
We have heard excellent things about the field trip and are excited to be
able to visit! This will pair nicely with our farm and life cycles units
this spring. There will not be class this day. More details will be out this
spring. Check out the Hugo Animal Farm website for more information about
the farm at
